Team/Quality Service Leads have well-honed client intervention skills and take the lead on decision-making in complex, risky, and/or escalating situations related to client care and support. They coach and mentor frontline workers in delivering support services using a trauma-informed approach to care. In collaboration with the Manager and the team, team leads play a central role in developing client case management plans, behavioral plans, and implementing program practices that are focused on safe environments, empowering clients, and meaningful outcomes.

Providing effective support to clients and frontline workers includes:

  • Assessing and identifying clients’ needs and connecting them with appropriate community resources,
  • Assessing housing readiness and preparing clients for a successful transition into housing solutions,
  • Recognizing and addressing potential emergency situations,
  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with clients using trauma informed practice,
  • Coordinating client activities to encourage pro-social bonding, client community, and life skills development,
  • Leading by example and demonstrating a consistent professional team-based approach to work,
  • Onboarding new staff, ongoing training, coaching, and providing feedback to frontline workers,
  • Building and promoting an engaging and positive work culture.

Job requirements

The ideal candidate for this role has a passion for empowering people to reach their goals and

  • Is highly skilled in client interventions,
  • Comes with a leadership experience in a similar environment,
  • Completed post-secondary education in a human services field and/or 2+ years of recent and related experience with all the associated knowledge and skills,
  • Can maintain a high degree of professionalism, boundaries and confidentiality,
  • Excels in communication, critical thinking and problem solving.

Their future hire must:

  • Be able to clear a Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search,
  • Have a valid First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain),
  • Have proof of COVID-19 immunization (2 doses).

Shift Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 8am – 4pm
