Advanced Property Systems is a family-owned company based in West Kelowna providing snow removal, maintenance and installations in residential areas for the last 25 years. With steady growth in operations, and numerous projects on the go, they are looking to hire a Field Operations Manager to be the right-hand person to the business owner.
Once up to speed, you will be trusted to oversee the field operations across the province and take a lead role in a variety of maintenance and installation initiatives throughout the year. Budgets, schedules, purchasing, and people all fall under your domain as you plan, schedule, orchestrate, problem solve and most importantly lead our highly diverse team of workers through each successful season. You will work closely with the owner, and have direct contact with clients and contractors alike.
This is a challenging, dynamic position with seasonal highs and lows, and frequent travel while juggling a lot of balls.
You are the perfect fit if you are great with people, like troubleshooting and solving problems, can balance priorities, risks, and contingencies without losing sight of the deliverables, and even enjoy travelling to sites and jumping on a piece of equipment to show how it’s done from time to time.
This is a new position so you will create it as you do it, but here are a few things we think will help:
· Experience in construction, project management and running crews
· Great people skills
· Able to use a computer effectively
· Strong follow up and follow through
· Good driving record
· Mechanical sense
· Calmness under pressure
· Physical fitness and the ability to work outside in inclement weather
· Good old common sense
· Able to work from the company office in West Kelowna (when not in the field)
