About the Role:
As part of the Engineering team, the Service Engineer/Technician will be the first point of contact for technical service and support inquiries and the face of Always On at client sites. The right candidate will be a well-rounded professional with experience in the electrical field, excellent communication skills, integrity, and superior service standards. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is not only strong at troubleshooting but also aspires to play a role in shaping and strengthening the service department through forward thinking and ability to see the big picture.
Key Responsibilities:
Start-up and commissioning of UPS and emergency light inverters.
Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Providing remote and onsite technical support.
Addressing customer complaints and resolving product non-conformance issues in coordination with QA.
Testing spare parts.
Assisting production with repairs, factory testing and special projects.
Preparing detailed field service reports.
Working primarily in the Kelowna office with travel around 30% of the time or less.
Job requirements
What We Are Looking For:
Electrical Engineering degree, Engineering Technologist certification, or Journeyman Electrician certification.
Service work experience, with the ability to assess potential risks.
Strong problem-solving abilities, extensive technical knowledge, and proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
Team player and self-starter with great organizational skills and attention to detail.
Adaptability to changing priorities.
Familiarity with ISNet, Avetta, and safety audit services is an asset.
FSR certification is preferred.
Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license with satisfactory driver’s abstract.
