Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy (OVCMT) has been at the forefront of massage therapy education since 1994, proud to be the first nationally accredited Registered Massage Therapy program in Canada. As an Office Coordinator, you will support the College by performing primarily the following tasks:
- Maintaining student records,
- Answering the phone/emails, and responding to students’ inquiries on campus,
- Providing technical support to faculty and staff,
- Scheduling and coordinating processes across the administrative department,
- Planning and organizing meetings and special events, incl. graduation ceremonies,
- Communicating with student funding agencies,
- Reception training, technology training as required,
- Compiling data and submitting quarterly government reports,
- Drafting organizational policies and standard operating procedures,
- Other administrative tasks as needed.
Job requirements
The ideal candidate for this role has worked in a professional office environment, demonstrates superior communication and organization skills, prides himself/herself on high attention to detail and accuracy, and is proficient in using MS Office Suite and other computer programs (Sage or QB, CRM, Canva, Adobe, etc.). It is someone who can be described as a people person and energetic go-getter, with a positive attitude, initiative, and confidence in problem-solving and decision-making.
