HR Lead

Job description


Phantom Creek Estates is building a team of people who are dedicated to delivering outstanding wines and memorable wine country experiences.

 

We are helping them hire an HR Lead to champion the culture and team environment and help the management team recruit, train and retain the talented people who will grow the grapes, bottle the wine, and share the experiences and flavours with their guests. 

 

The HR Lead will be the solo HR resource to the team and thus requires at least 5 years of progressive HR experience ideally with winery or other relevant industry experience.  Able to smoothly transition from hands on involvement in recruiting, coaching and transition to evaluating and improving people practices, and developing systems, tools and plans, the HR Lead is skilled at juggling priorities and balancing the needs of the business, managers, and employees.  

Requirements

We prefer a CPHR who is knowledgeable about employment law and best practices and has the sound judgment and business acumen to build tools that work for the people using them.  Great communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively across the diverse group, and a commitment to excellence are important as well.
