Assistant Controller

Lakeshore Vein & Aesthetics Clinic (Lakeshore) is a full-service 'non-surgical' medical cosmetic center committed to unsurpassed dermatology-related patient care, leading-edge cosmetic treatments and discreet, safe, professional care delivered in a premier spa-like environment. Established in 2008, Lakeshore delivers skin care and vein treatment to medical patients and cosmetic clients by certified medical doctors, nursing staff, laser technicians, aestheticians and skin care product specialists. They are known for supreme quality service in patient care, using top of the line products and equipment and they are accredited.

Lakeshore is looking for a service-oriented Assistant Controller to review, process, and reconcile Lakeshore’s receivables, payables, payroll and inventory. This role is a model for professionalism, integrity and financial accountability and is responsible for coaching and educating team members to enhance competency and accuracy in record keeping. This is a leadership position which comes with senior responsibility.

As Lakeshore’s future Assistant Controller, you will work in the clinic 4-5 days per week on:

  • Receivables: review and process invoices, prepare and review cashouts, complete MSP billings,
  • Payables: code and post invoices, prepare payments and cheque runs,
  • Inventory: update prices, order and receive supplies, and do inventory counts,
  • Payroll: process biweekly payroll, track and pay commissions, and
  • Benefits: update information with benefits providers.
  • Government Remittances
  • GL and financial reporting

Additionally, you will update our accounting software, complete reconciliations of accounts and credit cards, manage our bookkeeping and cash procedures, and ensure regulatory requirements are met including filing tax returns.
