Accounting Administrator

MBA is a boutique accounting firm located in the heart of downtown Kelowna. They focus on owner-managed businesses and professionals, providing clients with exceptional service in the key areas their clients value most. In addition to traditional accounting practices, they are also actively engaged in business advisory and integrated wealth planning services with their clients.

They are on the lookout for a motivated individual to efficiently support a partner and team by taking care of the details to facilitate all accounting and investment services getting done.

Requirements

The Accounting Administrator is the first and final point of contact to clients and advisors, and provides administrative support to the team, including:

  • Receiving and entering accounting files into the software
  • Conducting online research and preparing reports
  • Arranging meetings, training sessions, company events
  • Monitoring event budgets, office expenses and supplies
  • Troubleshooting office technology and tools
  • Managing office reception, incoming calls and correspondence
  • Assisting the partner with other administrative tasks as needed

Desired qualifications for this role are:

  • A Certificate in Office Administration
  • Experience in an administrative role within a professional services environment
  • Bookkeeping and/or accounting knowledge
  • Passion for working with numbers and strong attention to details
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and accounting software
  • Client service orientation, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Tact, discretion & respect for confidentiality
  • Positive and respectful approach
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to write and speak with accuracy, simplicity and completeness
  • Ability to work with limited direction
